Senior BJP leader Surat Negi has leveled serious allegations against the Himachal government, accusing it of shielding individuals implicated in the mysterious death of HP Power Corporation Limited (HPPCL) Chief Engineer Vimal Negi.
Negi criticized the government for its resistance to a CBI probe and inaction against those accused of contributing to Vimal's death. The engineer disappeared on March 10, only for his body to be discovered eight days later under suspicious circumstances.
The situation escalated when Vimal's family and supporters demanded justice through demonstrations and a fact-finding report indicating harassment by senior officials. However, officials accused by the family remain unpunished, intensifying doubts about the government's intentions.
