The discovery of the bodies of a married couple in Purnea village has sparked a police investigation. The couple, identified as Parvendra, 35, and Geeta, 32, were found with injection marks on their bodies on Wednesday.
The tragedy unfolded after the couple, who had gone to work in their crop field, failed to return home by the afternoon, prompting family members to look for them. They found Parvendra near a haystack, and Geeta was discovered a short distance away.
An investigation is underway, with the bodies sent for post-mortem examination to ascertain the cause of death, according to Jay Bhagwan Singh, the officer in charge of Nurpur Police Station.
