Bengaluru police have apprehended three individuals in the wake of uncovering a bag containing gelatin sticks and detonators at the Kalasipalya BMTC bus stand. According to the authorities, the arrested parties are from Kolar and were employed at a quarry before their detainment.

Bengaluru Police Commissioner Seemanth Kumar Singh confirmed the registration of a case following the recovery of six gelatin sticks and live detonators from a location outside the public toilet at the bus terminus on July 23. An investigative team, composed of 60 staff members, played a crucial role in solving the case and securing the arrest of the three suspects.

The police commissioner revealed that a total of 22 gelatin sticks and 30 live detonators were confiscated from the arrested individuals. The investigation, which also seeks to trace the supply chain and purpose of the explosives, remains in progress, focusing on associations with the Kolar quarry.
