The Delhi Police have officially communicated with the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), urging improvements in park safety protocols following a tragic incident involving the death of a 55-year-old man attacked by stray dogs during his morning walk.
The letter, addressed to the DDA's Director of Horticulture, was penned by the Station House Officer of Moti Nagar after the unfortunate demise of Bhikhari Yadav, who suffered fatal injuries at a DDA-managed park. The correspondence advocates for urgent measures to assuage the fears of local residents and regular park attendees.
A critical line of inquiry raised concerns about the engagement of security services to patrol park premises, along with management of stray animals under DDA jurisdiction. The officer has requested comprehensive details on agreements made with security agencies and their operational duties, questioning current protocols for such incidents.
