In a significant turn of events, an Agra court on Tuesday extended the police remand for four people involved in an alleged religious conversion racket by four days, while placing six others in judicial custody.

Authorities revealed that the Uttar Pradesh Police successfully dismantled this extensive illegal operation, which involved ten individuals across six states. The probe, which began in March, was prompted by the disappearance of two sisters, aged 33 and 18, from Agra, who were reportedly coerced into religious conversion.

Agra Commissioner of Police Deepak Kumar disclosed that initial investigations have uncovered ties to radicalization and 'love jihad.' The police noted financial trails leading to the United States and Canada.
