Two self-proclaimed spiritual healers have been arrested in Delhi's Patel Nagar area for allegedly defrauding a woman of Rs 37,000. Police officials reported that the accused persuaded the victim to pay for rituals claiming to eliminate negative energy. The elaborate scam involved fake social media profiles and fabricated ritual videos.

The Delhi woman, who reported the crime, was approached by the accused with promises to resolve personal issues through rituals. The duplicitous healers, identified as Md Nazir, 41, and Md Raja Khan, 30, were traced to Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, following a detailed analysis of call records and bank transactions, police said.

Investigations revealed the duo emotionally manipulated their victims, transferring money in instalments, and employed digital methods to obscure their activities. Police are currently investigating the possibility of additional victims and any associates involved in similar fraudulent schemes.
