The Army displayed remarkable bravery and precision on Wednesday as they rescued 27 schoolchildren trapped in rising floodwaters. The incident occurred in the Shivpuri district of Madhya Pradesh, where heavy rains caused the Sindh river to swell, leaving the students stranded during their bus journey home.
These students, from the Rising Souls School in Badarwas, were unable to cross a flooded bridge near Pachavali village. Kolaras Sub-Divisional Officer Sanjay Mishra described the strong currents that halted the school bus, prompting an urgent call for Army assistance. Responding swiftly, the Army deployed a team and rescued the children using a boat.
Panchavali's sarpanch offered immediate aid, providing food and shelter for the children overnight. The successful mission ended with slogans of 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram' echoing in the air as families reunited after more than 30 tense hours. Local MLA Mahendra Yadav expressed gratitude to the Army and authorities for their life-saving efforts.
