IAS officer Rinku Singh Rahi was transferred to the Revenue Council in Lucknow, following a video that captured him doing sit-ups in front of lawyers. The video, which went viral, showed Rahi's attempt to take responsibility for the unhygienic conditions at his posting in Shahjahanpur's Puwaiyan tehsil.

Rahi, who was posted to the tehsil only a day prior, found himself in this unusual situation after penalizing individuals for public urination by making them do sit-ups. The punishment drew questions from the local lawyers, who argued that the administration shared the blame for the neglected premises.

In a bid to acknowledge this shared responsibility, Rahi followed the same punishment method for himself, stating that it was a shortcoming on their part. His actions, aimed at encouraging better public behavior, sparked conversations around sanitation, ultimately leading to his reassignment.
