In a tragic incident, rescuers in Chhattisgarh's Korba district recovered the bodies of a family of three trapped under a collapsed well. The victims were Cheduram Srivas, 65, his wife Kanchan Bai, 53, and their son Govind, 30.
The well, located near their home in Banwar village, caved in two days prior, sparking a 26-hour-long rescue operation. The recovery took place under challenging conditions, including heavy rainfall and risk of further collapse.
The site was challenging, with rescuers involving the State Disaster Response Force, police, and district administration working tirelessly with equipment like a Poclain machine to retrieve the bodies.
