Four Arrested in Extortion and Shooting Case in Ballabgarh

In a dramatic turn of events, four individuals were apprehended by the police for allegedly firing at a vehicle and attempting to extort Rs 5 lakh from a Ballabgarh resident. The police recovered a car, reportedly used in the crime, from the accused.
The individuals, identified as Devendra alias Kalu, Monu, Bunty, and Uday, hail from Tirkha Colony in Ballabgarh. They have been remanded in police custody for a further four days following their appearance in a local court, officials announced on Wednesday.
The incident unfolded on the night of July 27 when the complainant, Mayank, parked his car outside his home. A gunshot was heard, and a bullet hole was discovered in his car's window. A WhatsApp message allegedly from Devendra followed, demanding money and threatening violence if it wasn't paid, leading to the registration of an FIR and subsequent arrests.
