Gold Heist at Bus Stops: Three Arrested

In a decisive operation, the Chikkaballapura Town Police have apprehended three women accused of stealing gold ornaments from unsuspecting bus passengers. The trio, posing as travelers, executed their theft under cover of busy bus stands.

Police acted swiftly following a complaint by local resident Rihana Khanam, who reported that her gold bangles had disappeared while she boarded a bus. Prompt investigation led to the arrest at Kalaburagi.

The accused, identified as Tulasi, Prema, and Sonia Baba Sheikh, confessed to the crime, revealing a pattern of theft at bus stops. Approximately 70 grams of gold jewelry, valued at Rs seven lakh, was recovered.
