Authorities have taken legal action against a man and his accomplice, accusing them of coercing the man's wife into working in dance bars in both Bengaluru and Solapur, as revealed by a police spokesperson on Friday.

According to a complaint filed by the victim, her husband administered a sedative, subsequently abducting her with the help of a friend. The pair reportedly transported her to Bengaluru, confirmed an officer from the Panchavati police station.

The perpetrators allegedly created objectionable videos of the woman, using them as blackmail to secure her compliance in dance bar performances from August 2022 to September 2023. Additionally, accusations include the husband stealing her money. Legal proceedings are underway under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, as efforts continue to apprehend the suspects, the official confirmed.
