The National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted an extensive operation across 18 locations in Karnataka on Saturday as part of its investigation into the killing of Bajrang Dal member Suhas Shetty.

Shetty's public assault and murder, carried out with lethal weapons by Abdul Safwan and others, aimed to instill terror within the community, according to the NIA's statement.

The ongoing investigation, following the NIA's takeover from local authorities in June, led to the arrest of 12 individuals and searches yielding digital devices and incriminating documents.
