In a strategic move to bolster farmer support, Prime Minister Narendra Modi disbursed Rs 20,500 crore to the accounts of more than 9.7 crore farmers as part of the 20th installment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi. This initiative took place during a function in his parliamentary constituency, Varanasi.
Amit Shah praised the initiative, describing it as farmer-friendly, signifying another step towards improving farmer welfare under Modi's leadership. Shah emphasized the impact of the Kisan Samman Nidhi on the agrarian community, illustrating the government's dedication to enhancing farmer livelihoods.
In addition, Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation for 52 infrastructure, education, health, tourism, and cultural heritage projects worth around Rs 2,183.45 crore in Varanasi. These projects are set to play a crucial role in the transformation and welfare of the region.
