A 32-year-old woman was detained by police in southeast Delhi's New Friends Colony with 34 stolen mobile phones and a tablet, according to police reports released on Sunday.
The woman, identified as Jasmin from Taimoor Nagar, was apprehended during a routine patrol conducted on August 1. Officers stopped her near Taimoor Nagar upon noticing she was carrying a suspiciously large bag.
A search of the bag revealed 34 mobile phones and a tablet. Police disclosed that Jasmin is a habitual offender with a history of involvement in at least four other theft-related cases. During questioning, she admitted to purchasing stolen mobile phones at a low cost and reselling them at a higher price for profit.
