An Indian man's tragic drowning in Nepal's Bagmati River led to the recovery of his body in southern Terai plains, as reported by media sources.
Rohit Kumar Singh, aged 30 from Bihar's Khagaria district, vanished after entering the river at Chandrapur Municipality to bathe under the influence of alcohol, according to the police reports cited by The Himalayan Times.
The next morning, a collaborative rescue effort between the Armed Police Force's Disaster Response Unit and local law enforcement located Singh's body in the Bagmati irrigation canal within Gujara Municipality, stated the Rautahat DSP Deepak Kumar Rai. The deceased was returned to his family post-autopsy.
