In a significant legal victory for Aam Aadmi Party leader Satyendar Jain, a special court has accepted the Central Bureau of Investigation's closure report concerning a 2018 case. The case, which alleged corruption in hiring practices within the Public Works Department of Delhi, has been dismissed as the investigation could not substantiate the claims.

Special Judge Dig Vinay Singh concluded that after an extensive investigation, the CBI was unable to find any incriminating evidence against Jain or others involved. The original inquiry revolved around the appointment of a creative team through supposed manipulation of tender conditions, but no illicit financial benefits or governmental losses were identified.

The court noted the legitimate hiring process was a necessity due to vacancies in specialized roles such as urban planning, substantiating the decision as a practical approach amid operational constraints. As the investigation divulged no misconduct, further legal proceedings were deemed unwarranted.
