A 50-year-old man sustained injuries in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district following the detonation of a pressure improvised explosive device (IED) planted by Naxals, according to police reports.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. when Kalmu Ganga was grazing cattle near his village in a nearby forest, inadvertently triggering the explosive.
After receiving preliminary treatment at a local CRPF camp, Ganga was transferred to a health center. Officials warn of the persistent threat posed by IEDs, urging public vigilance in forest areas.
