A paan shopkeeper at Tagore Nagar was apprehended by police on Wednesday for allegedly peddling MD drugs. Valued at Rs 1.84 lakh, the contraband was found in his possession, authorities reported.
The suspect, identified as 48-year-old Manwar Jamirullah Ansari, was caught red-handed near his establishment, as law enforcement officers acted upon credible leads.
Officials have charged Ansari under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, as further investigations proceed.
