In a high-stakes exercise on Wednesday, over 100 NSG commandos, alongside Maharashtra Police personnel, participated in a mock drill simulating a hostage crisis at the Infosys campus in Hinjewadi.

The intense operation, which included commandos rappelling down from helicopters, was conducted at the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park. The aim was to evaluate the preparedness of various agencies to tackle potential terror threats.

According to Vishal Gaikwad, Deputy Commissioner of Police of Pimpri Chinchwad, the drill involved state police, Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads, and medical services to simulate real-life scenarios and ensure effective emergency response.
