In a bold move, the Punjab BJP announced a state-wide 'Save Land, Save Farmers' yatra beginning August 17 to September 5, protesting the AAP government's contentious land pooling policy.
Organized under the leadership of party's state working president, Ashwani Sharma, the yatra will traverse through agricultural hubs like Malwa, Majha, and Doaba, reaching out to farmers and raising awareness.
The move comes amidst criticism of the policy, which BJP and other opposition parties argue threatens farmers' land, while the AAP insists it is a beneficial scheme.
