In a shocking incident in Rajasthan, an armed constable from the RAC allegedly attacked his wife and six-year-old son with a sword, resulting in grave injuries, before committing suicide on a railway track, officials confirmed on Monday.
The tragic episode has its roots in marital discord as revealed by preliminary investigations. The couple, Rajkumar Kantiwal and his wife Kavita, were due for a divorce hearing in August, indicating a fraught relationship.
Rajkumar carried out the assault at their rented residence in Kisan Colony, inflicting severe injuries on Kavita, a government employee, and their son, before ending his own life. It's suspected he jumped in front of an oncoming train in Jhunjhunu, compounding this family tragedy.
