A legal case has been initiated in Indore against Krishnakant Menaria, accused of offending religious sentiments by posting an objectionable image on social media. The incident allegedly involved an image of a dog depicted as Lord Krishna, shared during Janmashtami celebrations.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Rajesh Dandotiya disclosed that the photo was posted as Menaria's social media status, prompting a complaint and subsequent police action under section 299 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
An FIR has been lodged against Menaria, and authorities are currently investigating the matter to determine the full extent and intent of the alleged offense.
