Chennai-based water treatment company VA Tech WABAG has announced a significant contract win valued at 5.12 million Bahraini dinars (approximately Rs 118 crore) in Bahrain. This new engagement involves the establishment of a 40 million liter per day (MLD) sewage treatment facility in Madinat Salman, coupled with a long sea outfall.

This is not the company's first project in Bahrain; it's a repeat order following a similar agreement the company secured in 2015. That particular plant has remained operational and has been maintained by VA Tech WABAG since its inception.

The project falls under the purview of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning of the Kingdom of Bahrain. According to Srinivasan K, the General Manager of VA Tech WABAG's MENA RHQ, the new contract strengthens their operation and maintenance portfolio, ensuring steady income and operational continuity. He emphasized the company's ongoing commitment to high-quality service and operational efficiency to provide safe, reliable water services.
