Israel Bolsters Aerial Defense with New KC-46 Tankers
Israel is purchasing two Boeing-made KC-46 aerial refuelling tankers in a $500 million deal financed by U.S. military aid. The addition will enhance Israel's strategic capabilities. The plan awaits approval from an Israeli ministerial committee. The move comes amid debate about U.S. military aid to Israel.

Israel has announced plans to acquire two KC-46 aerial refueling tankers made by Boeing in a deal worth $500 million. The purchase will be financed through U.S. military aid, with the contract set to be signed pending approval from an Israeli ministerial committee for defense procurement.
The defense ministry, emphasizing the importance of these tankers, stated they would significantly boost the military's long-range capabilities. Israel already operates four such tankers, which were notably used in a recent air war against Iran.
The deal includes integrating unspecified Israeli systems into the aircraft. While the U.S. government facilitates military sales to allies, some American lawmakers question ongoing aid to Israel, especially considering recent conflicts involving the nation.
