International mediators expressed grave concern on Wednesday over the escalating humanitarian crisis in Sudan, urging immediate measures to ensure the protection of civilians.
The Aligned for Advancing Lifesaving and Peace in Sudan (ALPS) Group, comprising countries including the United States, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia, emphasized the importance of adhering to international humanitarian law.
In a statement, the ALPS Group called on the conflicting parties to fulfill their obligations, safeguard humanitarian personnel and facilities, and enable unhindered aid access to populations in need.
