In a dramatic turn of events, the Delhi Police have successfully thwarted a kidnapping attempt, rescuing an infant snatched from central Delhi and reuniting him with his distraught mother. The accused, identified as Jitender Kumar, was apprehended in Rajasthan's Khetri.
The incident began when the mother, visiting Delhi from Chennai, was befriended by Kumar during a train journey. Under the guise of assistance, Kumar used a ruse involving a garment purchase to separate mother and child.
The police, employing cutting-edge technology like facial recognition software, meticulously tracked and captured Kumar. He confessed to orchestrating the abduction for financial gain, driven by a relative's desire for a male child.
