A tragic incident unfolded in Sangipur as a Class 9 student took her life following an alleged rape by a trainee constable residing in her neighborhood, according to officials on Tuesday.
The grievous event occurred on Monday evening when the 14-year-old girl was found hanged inside her home, located in the district's jurisdiction of Sangipur police station, reported Additional Superintendent of Police (West) Sanjay Rai.
An FIR has been enacted against the accused constable, currently under training in Mau district, aiming to bring him to justice. A police team has swiftly moved to Mau to apprehend the alleged perpetrator, as confirmed by Rai.
