The Special Task Force (STF) of Bihar has successfully apprehended notorious gangster Raja Kumar, known as Raja Shah, in Samastipur district. The gangster, who carried a bounty of Rs 1 lakh, was wanted in multiple high-profile cases, including the 'infamous Reliance jewellery loot case'.

Operatives confirmed that Kumar was a key figure in the 'Karmveer Gang', infamous for several incidents of loot and dacoity in the region. Tuesday's arrest highlights the ongoing crackdown against organized crime in Bihar.

In an unrelated sting, the STF also arrested Rambharosi Yadav in Madhubani with a significant quantity of brown sugar. Yadav has been charged under the NDPS Act for his role in a West Bengal-based drug smuggling ring.
