A daring bank heist unfolded in Vijayapura as three masked men stormed a State Bank of India branch, making off with over Rs 20 crore in cash and gold. The robbers, carrying handmade pistols and knives, intimidated bank employees, tying them up before executing the audacious robbery.
The incident, which took place around 6:30 pm in Chadchan town, saw the culprits appropriating cash and gold worth more than Rs 21 crore. The bank staff, under duress, were incapable of raising an alarm as the robbers carried out their meticulously planned operation.
