Chief Minister Siddaramaiah celebrated Kalyana Karnataka Liberation Day, a day honoring the sacrifices of freedom fighters who fought for independence from the Nizam's rule, with a focus on the region's future. He explained his government's ongoing initiatives and future plans aimed at ensuring all-round development in Kalyana Karnataka.
During his address, Siddaramaiah highlighted significant budget allocations and projects. He mentioned that since Article 371-J's introduction in 2013, numerous posts have been filled, and the state aims to fill remaining vacancies. The government allocated Rs 5,000 crores for 2025–26 to the KKRDB, and over Rs 14,000 crores have already been utilized for infrastructure projects.
Major initiatives like the Shakti scheme, Gruha Lakshmi, and Yuva Nidhi were launched, impacting millions of citizens by providing services like free bus rides and financial support. Additionally, irrigation projects, including the Krishna Upper Canal Project, are set to expand, promising improved agricultural conditions and water management in the region.
