At least three terrorists were killed and four injured in separate incidents in northwest Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, police reported on Wednesday.

The assailants targeted police stations in the Bannu and Karak districts on Tuesday, with law enforcement successfully repelling both attacks.

In Bannu, terrorists initially targeted the Miryan police station, followed by an attempted assault on the Mazang checkpoint within the station's jurisdiction.

Sajjad Khan, Regional Police Officer of Bannu, stated the attack on the Miryan police station concluded within 20 minutes, while the standoff at the Mazang checkpoint lasted roughly an hour.

Three terrorists were killed and four wounded, with accomplices managing to remove the casualties, Khan confirmed. Three police officers sustained minor injuries during the skirmish.

In Karak, the Gurguri police station came under attack, although security forces promptly engaged the attackers to prevent their advancement.
