Major Ganja Smuggling Ring Busted in Uttar Pradesh
A significant inter-state smuggling operation has been uncovered, involving the transport of ganja from Arunachal Pradesh and Assam to Uttar Pradesh. Two individuals were arrested, and a significant quantity of cannabis was seized. The operation, led by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force and local police, revealed the smuggling tactics employed.

A sophisticated inter-state smuggling operation moving cannabis into Uttar Pradesh has been dismantled, authorities confirmed on Thursday.
Two suspects, including one resident of Assam, were apprehended and cannabis valued at Rs 82.7 lakh was confiscated from their possession, according to police reports.
The operation, spearheaded by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force in collaboration with Ballia police, intercepted a truck at Bharouli Golambar in Narhi late Wednesday. The recovery included 826.9 kg of ganja hidden behind sofa sets. Arrested were truck driver Vishnu Kharwar and Sukur Ali, who admitted buying the drug from Assam and Arunachal Pradesh at lower prices for resale in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.
