The Interior Minister, Marcin Kierwinski, emphasized that the border remains closed due to the tense situation, despite the end of the exercises. Increased Belarusian and Russian drone incursions into Polish airspace were noted, although no Polish intervention was reported.
With Poland as a key supporter of Ukraine in its ongoing conflict with Russia, the border tension is underscored by Belarus and Russia's strengthened military cooperation. Currently, four out of six road crossings and three rail freight crossings between Poland and Belarus are closed.
