The President emphasized Taiwan's stance on freedom and democracy, citing increased Chinese military pressure. The week saw Taiwan's largest arms show, with international companies vying for collaboration, as the island boosts its defense capabilities.
Highlighting these efforts, U.S. company Shield AI plans significant investments in Taiwan, showcasing their V-BAT drones. A partnership between Shield AI and Taiwan's Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation was also announced, underscoring Taiwan's strategy for international defense cooperation.
