In a shocking incident, a 39-year-old woman named Shalini was allegedly murdered by her husband Isaac at Koothanadi near Punalur, Kerala, on Monday. The tragic event was further sensationalized when Isaac went live on Facebook to confess to the crime, lodging accusations of mistrust against his deceased wife.
The police reported that Isaac surrendered at the Punalur police station after the crime. An FIR has been filed under section 103(1) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita following a complaint from their 19-year-old son. The couple was reported to have ongoing marital problems and lived separately prior to the incident.
The murder occurred as Shalini was preparing for work. Police have launched an investigation, seizing the mobile phones of both the deceased and the accused. The forensic team is active at the crime scene as further legal actions are underway.
