In a significant breakthrough, Manipur Police rescued two individuals who were kidnapped for a ransom of Rs 10 lakh, from a fish farm at Lilong Dolaithabi, Thoubal district. The swift operation took place on Wednesday, with authorities securing the victims unscathed.

Law enforcement arrested a suspect, Md Sultan Ahmed, aged 25, from the nearby Waithou Pat area. The police also seized five live cartridges from the fish farm where the victims were confined, according to official statements.

Separately, police apprehended two individuals for their role in a mob attack on security personnel on September 30 in Imphal East. Those arrested were identified as Konjengbam Nanao and Heikrujam Khamba Meitei. The investigation into both incidents is ongoing as police aim to capture all involved suspects.
