The Jharkhand Labour department has intervened to aid a family from Khunti district after a migrant worker tragically died in Goa. This initiative came after the family expressed their incapacity to retrieve the body, with the Labour department arranging financial assistance for transportation.

Khunti Deputy Commissioner R Ronita confirmed that the Labour department was mobilized following the family's plight. The deceased, 27-year-old Alok Aind, had ventured to Goa with friends in search of employment and succumbed to a health crisis there.

The department ensured collaboration with the contractor in Goa to partially fund the transport, while the remaining expenses will be reimbursed. Alok's sister, Swarnalata Aind, has been managing financial constraints since their parents' passing and has coordinated efforts to bring her brother home.
