A senior Taiwanese military officer has issued a stark warning, highlighting the potential global implications if Russia prevails in Ukraine. Speaking at the Warsaw Security Forum, Hsieh Jih-sheng expressed concerns that such a result could encourage China to act aggressively toward Taiwan.

Hsieh noted that while Taiwan has been under increasing Chinese pressure, Europe could learn valuable lessons from Taiwan's handling of grey zone operations. Despite the lack of formal diplomatic ties, European interest in Taiwan's security challenges has grown since Russia's 2022 invasion of Ukraine.

China, however, condemned Taiwan's statements, dismissing the rhetoric as an attempt to attract attention. Nevertheless, Taiwan continues to forge connections with European nations, sharing insights and experiences in countering disinformation and military threats.
