The scheduled UKSSSC examination for October 5 has been postponed, officials confirmed on Thursday. This decision follows requests from candidates and a need to enhance security preparations, sources revealed.

The examination, concerning the roles of Cooperative Inspector Class-2 and Assistant Development Officer, was affected by paper leak concerns. On September 21, a breach involving a Haridwar center raised alarms, prompting Chairman Ganesh Singh Martolia to initially assure the rescheduled dates for various recruitments.

In light of the leak allegations, the Uttarakhand Unemployed Association triggered protests, pressing the state government to recommend the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for further investigation.
