The Madras High Court has denied BJP leader Uma Anandan's request for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the mass casualty incident that occurred during a political event on September 27.
The stampede at actor-politician Vijay's rally resulted in 41 deaths and raised concerns, with Anandan highlighting potential governmental negligence.
The division bench recommended that the petitioner approach the Madurai bench of the High Court, which has the jurisdiction to address such matters.
