Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar disclosed a troubling incident involving his teenage daughter during an online video game. At a cyber safety awareness programme in Mumbai, attended by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Kumar recounted how his daughter was asked by an unknown individual to send nude photos.
Kumar praised his daughter's presence of mind as she shut off her mobile device immediately and informed her mother about the exchange. He emphasized that such incidents are part of broader cyber crime issues, potentially luring children into dangerous situations involving extortion or worse.
Addressing the need for education, Kumar called on CM Fadnavis to introduce cyber safety education in Maharashtra schools for classes 7 to 10. He stressed that while students learn fundamental subjects in school, understanding cyber safety is crucial in a digital world where threats can arise unexpectedly.
