In a successful operation, Delhi Police have rescued a three-year-old boy kidnapped from Delhi's Krishna Nagar area from a railway station in Gujarat. The child, who was abducted by a neighbor, was found unharmed on Friday following a well-coordinated search.
Authorities reported that the accused, identified as Sudhir Kumar Thakur, was apprehended at Surat railway station in cooperation with the Gujarat Railway Police. The kidnapping was executed under false pretenses of medical assistance, police said.
After receiving the kidnapping complaint on September 15, prompted by the victim's mother's rejection of a marriage proposal from Thakur, police launched an investigation using CCTV footage and call records. The break in the case came from a social media video call, revealing the location at Surat railway station, leading to the boy's rescue and Thakur's arrest.
