In a violent turn of events in a Uttar Pradesh village, an electoral rivalry led to an attack that left three men injured. Among those attacked was Amar Singh, the husband of Tirre Manorama's village pradhan, alongside his associates Satyam Singh and Krishnapal Singh.
The incident unfolded during a Durga idol immersion when assailants hurled bricks and stones at the victims. Police have filed a case against seven suspects, including a former village pradhan, highlighting the enduring tensions from previous panchayat elections.
Local authorities, led by Itiyathok SHO Krishna Gopal Rai, confirmed that the attackers fled the scene, leaving behind threats of further violence. Investigations are ongoing to bring those responsible to justice.
