West Bengal Governor Rushes to Landslide-Hit Darjeeling

In an urgent response to a natural disaster, West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose canceled his personal visit to southern India and rushed to Darjeeling, devastated by recent landslides. The calamity, which has taken the lives of 24 individuals, has left many missing and stranded thousands of tourists.

Governor Bose, upon his return from Tirupati, is on site in Mirik, one of the hardest-hit areas. He is actively supervising rescue and rehabilitation efforts and is directly engaging with affected residents to better understand their needs.

Bose is in constant communication with the National Disaster Management Authority, ensuring coordinated efforts in relief operations. He is expected to present a comprehensive report with recommendations to authorities after evaluating the situation.
