An altercation over a dog carcass has led to a tragic shooting in the Badoozai locality of Sadar Bazar, police reported. Vivek Saxena allegedly shot his cousin, Pramod Saxena, dead following a heated argument about disposing of a stray dog's body.

Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi provided details of the incident, explaining that it began when Vivek accidentally ran over the dog with his vehicle. The disagreement intensified when Pramod insisted on the carcass's removal.

Late Sunday night, Vivek, apparently intoxicated, visited Pramod and fatally shot him with a country-made pistol. The suspect fled, and police are actively searching for his whereabouts.
