In a significant breakthrough, Patna Police have confiscated a large cache of explosive materials allegedly intended for manufacturing firecrackers. The operation, which also led to the seizure of a pistol and three live cartridges, resulted in the arrest of five individuals.

Superintendent of Police (West) Bhanu Pratap Singh revealed that the seizures were part of 'Operation Jakhira,' an extensive drive conducted over the last 40 hours across Patna's western region. Nearly 392 kilograms of explosives were recovered during coordinated raids in the Beur and IIT Amhara regions.

The arrested individuals, including Mukund Kumar from Vishunpur Pakri and four others from Taranagar village, face charges under the Arms Act and other relevant laws. Authorities are continuing investigations to uncover the source and intended use of the explosives.
