In a significant breakthrough, Jammu city police apprehended a drug peddler named Ankush on Thursday, securing heroin and cash from his possession.
The arrest, part of Operation Sanjeevani, took place during a routine patrol in Narwal. Authorities identified the suspect as a resident of Rajiv Nagar.
Along with the drug seizure, police recovered Rs 2,900 in cash, underscoring the financial aspects of local drug trade. An investigation is actively in progress, aiming to dismantle the broader network, officials stated.
