The body of a woman was found concealed in a metal trunk near a major highway in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district. It was reportedly dumped by two men in a vehicle, according to police statements on Thursday.
At approximately 8 pm on Wednesday, residents near Kalyanpur village on NH-2 noticed two men disposing of the metal trunk and fleeing the scene. Suspicious of the activity, they informed law enforcement authorities.
Kokhraj police promptly arrived, opening the trunk to discover the body of a woman, who appeared to be in her mid-30s. The initial investigation suggests she was murdered elsewhere, with her body disposed of along the highway to eliminate evidence. The police have initiated efforts to identify the victim and locate the perpetrators.
