Bomb Threats Cause Tension in Punjab Schools

Schools across Chandigarh and Punjab's Barnala were on high alert after receiving emails threatening bomb attacks, officials reported yesterday. This prompted swift action from bomb disposal experts and police forces.

Despite the urgency and thorough checks by bomb squads and police, no suspicious items were found in any of the targeted schools. Precautionary measures included deploying police forces outside the institutions.

This latest threat follows several similar scares at schools in Punjab and Haryana over the past few weeks, which also proved to be hoaxes. Authorities remain vigilant in response to these recurring emails.
